STEM company took the first place in “Silver Mercury” advertisement and marketing services competition with its "Design camp" professional conference for MICROSOFT” project (in category «The best sponsor/partner program”). This creation of the agency also took the 2nd place in categories “The best event” and “The best indoor project”.
MICROSOFT "Design camp" is a landmark event devoted to design and designers of modern applications. For two years now STEM helps to unite those attracted to digital and interactive design. The conference gathered designers, design engineers, usability specialists, senior project managers and modern applications developers.
The idea of the event was to show one more time that design is an art. The venue was decorated as an art gallery. This effect was achieved by means of branding and arranging several zones of activity. The key element of the venue decoration was a special Microsoft gallery of design which fulfilled two functions: non-standard branding and interaction with the guests. The gallery was represented by layouts of tablet PCs powered by Windows 8 hanging on the wall. The guests were invited to make their contribution and to draw some additional element.
— The project was complicated and significant. Microsoft wanted to do plenty creative things as it usually does. A wide range of professional issues had been discussed at the event that concerned four main fields: design of applications, games and web design, graphics, animation and infographics, design way of thinking, UX and design of modern devices. In order for everyone to feel actively involved in the conference we added workshops and special QA-sessions. Presenting design as kind of art was a challenging but interesting task. We are proud of our success.
The “Silver Mercury” jury had appreciated creativity of the project in three categories. Congratulations to our colleagues for one more victory!
